📐 Sizes: Small 19 × 17 × 3 cm (~180g) | Large 22 × 22 × 3 cm (~218g) | 🧵 Material: Hemp fabric with handwoven detailing | 🔘 Closure: Metal snap flap + zip

Small bag, full character — now in two sizes. The Khojo Yatra Flap Hemp Sling Bag is a compact sling built for the days you want your hands free and your essentials close — a rounded flap that snaps shut with a satisfying click, a zip compartment hidden underneath, and enough woven colour to make it the most interesting thing you're wearing. Go Small for the slimmest possible carry, or size up to Large for a bit more room in the same silhouette.

  • Rounded front flap finished with natural beige piping
  • Metal snap-button closure — one-handed open and shut
  • Zippered main compartment sits secured beneath the flap
  • Blue-and-white chevron front pocket for quick-grab items
  • Multicolour woven stripes and geometric detailing on the flap and sides
  • Black-and-white herringbone-style weave framing the main opening
  • Adjustable natural-coloured woven shoulder strap
  • Two sizes to choose from — Small (19×17×3cm, ~180g) and Large (22×22×3cm, ~218g) — both unisex and easy to wear all day

Small or Large — which one to pick

The Yatra now comes in two sizes — same flap, same closure, same handwoven detailing, just more room in the Large. The Small is 19 × 17 × 3 cm and ~180g, built for the slimmest possible carry: phone, wallet, keys, nothing else. The Large is 22 × 22 × 3 cm and ~218g — a squarer silhouette with noticeably more width and height while staying just as slim front-to-back, giving you room for a slightly bigger wallet, a small power bank, or a scarf folded in. Both wear the same way and close the same way; pick Small if you carry light, Large if you want a touch more without losing the shape.

The flap and how it closes

The Yatra's defining feature is its softly rounded front flap, outlined in natural beige piping that traces the curve and gives the bag its clean, finished silhouette. The flap folds over the top of the bag and fastens with a metal snap button — press it closed with your thumb, pop it open the same way, no buckles to fiddle with while you're holding a coffee.

Lift the flap and the inside face is natural beige, a quiet contrast to the woven colour on the outside. Underneath sits the zippered main compartment, so your phone and wallet are behind two layers — the zip that actually secures them, and the flap that covers the zip. It's a small detail that matters on a crowded metro platform or in a market lane.

Storage, laid out

Two sections, each with a job:

  • Zip main compartment — under the flap, for your phone, wallet, keys, earphones and folded cash. This is where the things you don't want falling out live.
  • Blue-and-white chevron front pocket — on the outside face, patterned in a crisp chevron weave that reads almost like a design panel. Best for the things you reach for constantly: metro card, tickets, a lip balm, loose change.

At 3 cm deep on both sizes, the Yatra is deliberately slim. The Small (19 × 17 cm) is a carry-the-essentials bag, while the Large (22 × 22 cm) gives you a little more width and height without adding bulk — either way, it disappears against your side instead of swinging around.

Fabric and weave

Built from hemp fabric in a natural, earthy base, then layered with handwoven detailing: multicolour stripes and geometric bands run across the flap and down the sides, a blue-and-white chevron takes the front pocket, and a black-and-white herringbone-style section frames the main opening. Three different weaves, one bag — and they're what make it feel handmade rather than manufactured.

Strap and how it wears

The natural-coloured woven shoulder strap is fully adjustable — shorten it to sit high on the hip, or let it out to wear crossbody over a jacket. The neutral tone keeps the focus on the woven panels, and at ~180g (Small) or ~218g (Large) there's very little weight pulling on your shoulder before you've even packed it.

Where it works best

  • Everyday city carry — commutes, cafes, errands
  • Travel days when you want essentials on you, not in the backpack
  • College, markets, festivals and gigs
  • Sightseeing and long walks where hands-free matters
  • Evenings out, as a small bag that still has personality

Care instructions

A note on handcrafted fabric: the woven panels on the Yatra are made by hand, so stripe placement, chevron alignment and colour distribution vary slightly from bag to bag. Your Yatra will be close to the photos, never a perfect copy — that variation is the character of a handwoven piece, not a flaw.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the flap have a zip under it, or just the snap?

Both. The flap closes with a metal snap button, and the main compartment underneath has its own zip. So the zip secures your things and the flap covers the zip.

What's the difference between the Small and Large sizes?

The Small is 19 × 17 × 3 cm (~180g) — built for the slimmest possible carry. The Large is 22 × 22 × 3 cm (~218g) — a bit wider and taller for slightly more room, while staying just as slim front-to-back. Same flap, same closure, same weave.

What fits inside?

Everyday essentials — phone, wallet, keys, earphones, folded cash, lip balm, metro card, tickets. At 3 cm deep both sizes are built for a slim, minimal carry rather than bulky items; the Large just gives you a little more width and height to work with.

Can I wear it crossbody?

Yes. The woven strap is fully adjustable, so you can wear it crossbody or shortened onto one shoulder, over a t-shirt or a jacket.

Is the front pocket zipped?

The blue-and-white chevron front pocket is an open slip pocket, designed for quick access. Anything you want fully secured belongs in the zip compartment under the flap.

How do I clean it?

Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent, then air dry in shade. No machine wash, no bleach, and don't wring it out.

Will my bag look exactly like the photos?

Close, but not identical. The weaves are handmade, so pattern placement and colour shift slightly between pieces. Every Yatra is a little different.

Is it suitable for men and women?

Yes — the Yatra is unisex. The natural base and neutral strap keep it easy to style either way.
