Why size matters on a rain cover
An oversized cover is almost as bad as no cover. Too much slack and the fabric catches wind, rides up off the base of the pack, and lets water run in underneath — which is exactly where it does the most damage.
This one is cut for the 20–35L range, so the elasticated hem actually grips the base of a daypack instead of hanging off it. If you carry a 45L+ multi-day trekking pack, you want a larger cover than this one.

Will it fit my 20L, 25L or 30L daypack?
Yes — this cover is cut for the 20–35L range, which covers most daypacks, college bags and commuter backpacks. It fits the Khojo 4 Zipper Hemp Pithu 20L snugly.
Will it fit my 50L or 60L trekking pack?
No. This cover tops out at 35L. For a multi-day trekking pack in the 45–75L range you need a larger size — stretching this one over a 60L bag won't give you proper coverage.
Does it cover the straps and hip belt?
It covers the full body of the pack from top to bottom. The straps and hip belt stay accessible through the opening at the back, so you can keep wearing the bag with the cover on.
How fast can I put it on?
About five seconds once you've done it once. Pull it out of its pouch, stretch the elasticated hem over the base of your bag, done.
Is it fully waterproof or just water-resistant?
The fabric is PU coated and sheds sustained rain. In very heavy, wind-driven rain some water can track in around the back opening — that's true of every strap-accessible cover, not just this one.
Can I use it just for dust?
Plenty of people do — it's as useful on a dusty bus roof or a train luggage rack as it is in the rain, and it keeps your bag clean when you set it down on wet ground.
